I thought we established quite a few aspects to appeal to our target audience through the style, mise-en-scene, location, our film name and possibly our storyline. I do think that we haven’t accomplished other aspects but seeing as this was a project surrounding the title credits, I think that we failed to appeal to our target audience through that because of its irrelevance to the super-hero genre. The style in Apex-Arachnid was chosen well as we did come up with the idea of producing a cartoon/comic-like visual when we had Alexis in the Spider-Man suit which correlates to the ideology of super-heroes as they all tend to originate from comic books therefore I thought that they style of Apex-Arachnid was competent. Teenagers and possibly even kids would read comic books but I believe those who genuinely read comic books about super-heroes are the die-hard admirers of super-heroes which I thought would easily appeal to teenagers and kids because of the comic-like style.
Additionally, I thought the title credits in the opening sequence didn't manage to appeal to our audience as it was a Westernized type of font therefore destoying the genre of this film as it isn't often that you'd see Westernized font in a super-hero film. Alternatively, we could have put comic-like titles to compliment the comic-like style when Alexis put on his suit. White, Westernized font isn't intriguing enough for kids or teenagers which is why I believe the font did not appeal to our target audience. Teenagers and kids prefer to see something cool and unique, however we have failed to apply that sort of element to our title sequence which wouldn't have attracted our target audience.
