The decision to go with a super-hero film and have a teenager play as the protagonist meant that we had to have an accurate representation of the mise-en-scene. Mise-en-scene is the arrangement of the scenery, props, etc. on the stage of a theatrical production or on the set of a film and in this case I thought we executed the plan well regarding an appropriate mise-en-scene as we had shots whilst Alexis was in class, the arrangement of the class with the Apple macs being in the shot and having another student in the class whilst we filmed that particular scene. Seeing as our target audience was going to be teenagers, the mise-en-scene was accurately chosen as teenagers would be familiar with our setting and may even be able to relate to it.
