Initially, the plan for the film name was ‘Boii-Man’ which I thought was absolutely outlandish and downright comical. Being a strong enthusiast in the field of the super-hero genre, I was able to generate a name which signifies his character and his capabilities as a super-hero whilst also expressing his phenomenal power; Apex-Arachnid. The screenshot here shows the thinking behind the name. Apex-Arachnid would appeal to our audience because, although it does contain sophisticated language that kids may not be able to understand, we focused on capturing the attention of teenagers first as they’d be able to recognise the link between Spider-Man and Apex-Arachnid through the use of the spider, therefore further exemplifying our super-hero genre.
